College

Our desire is to pursue college students in the Anderson area with the gospel of Jesus Christ to fulfill the mission of Renewal Church, to make disciples of all people for God’s glory. With this in mind, it is our desire to reach college students with the good news of the gospel, see their lives transformed, and connect them meaningfully to the church.  We hope that Renewal can be a church home for you during your college years!

How to Get Involved

Worship
Our students gather with the church weekly for worship. This is the time we sit under the teaching of God’s Word and seek to be unified as the body of Christ. If you need a ride, we’d love to help you get to worship. Please contact Ceci Pierce at cpierce@generationlink.org.

Fellowship & Discipleship
We desire for every student to be connected in fellowship and discipleship.  College Connection is a time where our students can get more connected to our church.  It meets weekly on Sunday's at 6:30PM to cover a different aspect of the local church and have a time of discussion and prayer.  For more information contact Ceci Pierce at cpierce@generationlink.org.

Students are also encouraged to invest themselves at Renewal by joining a Life Group. Our Life Groups are designed to pursue spiritual growth together with other believers in the church. They meet in homes throughout the week where group members engage in sermon based discussion. Our groups are multi-generational where students can engage with families and other students as we continue to pursue Renewal’s mission of making disciples of all people for God’s glory.

We also seek to gather our students for events throughout the year as a way to grow in relationship with one another and to give opportunity invite others.  Click HERE to see our upcoming events.

Serve
Serving is a vital part of the Christian walk, and at Renewal it is one of our core values: Serving Imitates Jesus. There are a variety of ways students can serve at Renewal so whether you would enjoy greeting first time guests on a Sunday morning or watching kids for a multigenerational Life Group, there are several ways students can use their giftedness to serve in the local church. Contact Ceci Pierce at cpierce@generationlink.org for more information on ways to serve or click HERE.

Leadership Development
Renewal desires to make disciples and multiply leaders, and we see college as a crucial time for the development of students into leaders. Here are several opportunities for students to be more intentionally invested in and committed to Renewal Church:

Anderson University CHR495 - Renewal accepts applications from students for the CHR495 class to intern at the church during the Spring Semester. Students will meet weekly with one of the ministerial staff as well as serve weekly at Renewal.  Please contact Sean Alford, salford@renewalanderson, to apply.

SummerLINK Intern - SummerLINK is a summer internship under the Generation LINK ministry where we link students with other local churches and ministries across the country and internationally to be discipled and sent out for the Kingdom of God.

Ministry Leader Volunteers - Ministry Leader Volunteers are church members who go above and beyond the expectations of a regular member at Renewal Church. They are recognized as gifted individuals who provide leadership support to different areas of ministry.

Generation LINK Resident - Our GLINK Residency is a 25+ hour residency for recent graduates to serve on staff at Renewal. They will be discipled and trained by the pastors and staff, given areas of ministry to help organize and lead, as well as have opportunity to pursue seminary education from one of our partnering seminaries.

Ministry/Pastoral Assistant - Our ministry and pastoral assistants are full-time staff members who assist our pastoral leadership as they continue to grow and are affirmed in their giftedness for ministry. For more information on the Generation LINK ministry or the Ministry/Pastoral Assistant position, please contact Sean Alford at salford@renewalanderson.org.
